No. TapTheTable menus open directly in the customer's mobile browser. They simply scan the QR code with their phone camera and the menu loads instantly. No app store, no downloads, no friction.
Absolutely. Any changes you make to your menu -prices, descriptions, availability, new items -are live immediately. Your customers always see the latest version without you needing to reprint anything.
TapTheTable uses daily rotating security tokens embedded in each QR code, plus session time limits and optional staff confirmation. Old screenshots simply stop working. This is a unique anti-fraud feature you won't find on other QR menu platforms.
We have a free plan with up to 5 categories and 30 items. Paid plans are R400/month for Pro (our most popular) and R700/month for Business. Save with yearly billing. All prices are in South African Rand with no currency conversion fees. We accept PayFast (credit card, debit card, EFT, SnapScan).
Yes. On the Pro plan and above, customers can place takeaway and collection orders through your digital menu. Connect your own WhatsApp Business account or Telegram bot to receive order notifications directly on your phone. You manage everything from your live order board.
Our AI menu import feature (Pro plan and above) can read your existing menu - whether it is a PDF, photo, or spreadsheet - and automatically create categories, items, prices, and descriptions for you. Just upload it and review the results. You can also enter items manually if you prefer.
Yes. TapTheTable does not collect personal information from customers who view your menu. QR code scanning is anonymous. For business owners, we follow POPIA guidelines for all account data we store, and you can request data export or deletion at any time.
